‘Saul’ theatre tragedy by Vittorio Alfieri
This shows the set of Alfieri’s tragedy, “Saul”. The art director is a hands-on person so there isn’t a preparatory sketch. He always has the ideas in his mind. The set had to be resistant because the actors had to jump, run and climb on it so we decided to use pallets.
As for the animals and the candelabra we drew the shapes on paper and then redrew them on wood so we could cut them out. Then on the animal wooden shape we glued pieces of plywood and on the candelabra, wood pieces to create a puzzle effect.
‘Counting Numbers’ theatre play
For this theatre play I helped the Art Director paint some of the flattages for the set and create some props.
‘Doctor Who’, season 8
I was with the Art Department of Doctor Who for two weeks. I’ve made mood boards for some episodes, helped in the workshop constructing the set, plastering and carving out polyestyrene, model making and set dresssing.
I couldn’t take many photos so here are just some of them.
